I have never in my entire life been as proud as I am now of my beautiful and courageous sister for graduating US Army basic training and I would give anything to be there with her right now.

#throwbackthursday With my brother Joel in 2008. This is one of the few times in our entire lives we’ve actually looked related.

First they came for the communists,

and I didn’t speak out because I wasn’t a communist.

Then they came for the socialists,

and I didn’t speak out because I wasn’t a socialist.

Then they came for the trade unionists,

and I didn’t speak out because I wasn’t a trade unionist.

Then they came for the Jews,

and I didn’t speak out because I wasn’t a Jew.

Then they came for me,

and there was no one left to speak for me.
